Our family moved to Carstairs 11 years ago in 2014. Having grown up in a small town, both my husband and I wanted to raise our children in a small community. We embrace the mentality of "It Takes a Village" and Carstairs was the perfect fit for us.
Community Involvement
Whatever activities our children are involved in, I am not far behind. I currently volunteer as the President of the Hugh Sutherland School Music Association. I have also volunteered in Gymnastics, Scouts, fundraisers to support local programs, and the Annual Food Drive for the Mountain View Food Bank.
Priorities as trustee
My decision to run for Trustee comes from both personal and local experience. As a parent and active member in our community, I’ve seen firsthand the importance of safe classrooms, strong teachers, and schools that reflect the small-town values we cherish. Through years of working with others in our community, I am ready to make transparent, student-focused decisions. I want to ensure that as our communities grow, we maintain our close-knit values while planning for the future with strong facilities and opportunities for every student.
